Privé Noir is a couture abaya house in Doha.
Every piece begins as a length of cloth and a set of measurements. It is cut by hand on our table, sewn by our tailors, embroidered by hand where the design asks for it, pressed, checked and packed — by the same small team, in the same room, from start to finish. Between fifteen and twenty working days pass between your order and your piece. Nothing here sits waiting in a warehouse.
What we make
Abayas in velvet, satin, linen, organza and lace. Hand embroidery. Shawl collars, high collars, draped sleeves, belted lines. Black, and the quiet colours that sit beside it — ivory, sand, silver, mauve.
How we work
- Your measurements are confirmed with you before anything is cut.
- We write to you when cutting begins, and again when your piece is ready.
- Alterations to a finished piece are made by the hands that made it.
Private fittings at home
In Qatar we bring the atelier to you — a private fitting at home, with pieces to try and cloth to choose from. Write to us to arrange a visit.
